In January 2022, NEXE completed the acquisition of a 54,000 square foot industrial facility strategically located close to the Canada-U.S. border in Windsor, Ontario. NEXE is implementing a vertically integrated manufacturing process at this facility which will include both component and finished goods manufacturing. NEXE is targeting to be in production early 2023.
The Windsor-Essex region is home to more than 1,000 manufacturers, responsible for over $4.5 billion in annual GDP making up 30 percent of the region’s total GDP, the largest sector by revenue in Windsor-Essex. The Windsor area is also home to the busiest commercial border crossing accounting for more than one-third of all Canada-U.S. trade. For NEXE, Windsor will be a key hub, providing access to key markets in the U.S. and Canada.
